We pride ourselves on providing comprehensive eye exams.  Your exam will consist of a number of tests including color vision, eye co-ordination and depth perception as well as a screening for glaucoma and cataracts.  If needed, Dr. Alpert will dilate your eyes and evaluate the internal eye for medical problems.  If correction is warranted, he will carefully determine your prescription.  The doctor will review all the examination results with you.

Dr. Alpert is pleased to be first in the Hartford area to have a Z-View Aberrometer. This instrument measures your unique optical print or 'iPrint'. Just like no two finger prints are alike, so too every eye is unique. The 'iPrint' allows us to order high resolution single vision and progressive lenses that specifically correct vision for you. We are pleased to offer the Optomap  wide field retinal evaluation. The Optomap captures an ultra-widefield optomap® retinal image (200 internal degree view) and does not require pupil dilation.
